IS IT CHEAPER TO HIRE A REMOTE OFFICE ASSISTANT?

The charge per hour  is generally higher than hiring an employee to work in your office.  However there are no payroll taxes, worker’s compensation, or other tax and insurance expenses.  We charge you only for the hours we work FOR you, not for bathroom breaks, downtime, or lunch.

WILL YOU BE AVAILABLE TO ME FOR A SET NUMBER OF HOURS OR SPECIFIC DAYS?

We can be, if you pay ahead for a specific block of time or hours each week. In order to keep rates low, we will have other clients. Contracts are extremely flexible and these relationships can work well if there is a clear understanding of expectations up-front.

I HAVE DIFFICULTY DELEGATING WORK.  WHY SHOULD I HIRE A REMOTE ASSISTANT?

This is a good reason TO use a remote assistant. Start small, then send more projects to us as you gain trust and confidence in the relationship.  Consider paying a retainer.  This will force you to send work to because you have already committed to using our services.

WILL DELEGATING WORK TO A REMOTE ASSISTANT EVENTUALLY TAKE MORE OF MY TIME?

As with any employee, there will be an initial learning curve. Over time, things should smooth out significantly. This is true of any new business relationship. In any case, we can do the best job for you when we fully understand your business goals and objectives.

HOW DO I TRUST HIRING A PERSON TO WORK FOR ME WHEN I MAY NEVER MEET THEM?

This is why we prefer to work with local businesses and organizations, so we can meet you and offer a free initial consultation. This consultation represents a blend of a both a job interview and researching a new vendor in person.

ARE REMOTE ASSISTANTS WHO COMPLETE A  TRAINING PROGRAM ARE MORE QUALIFIED?

What you should really look for is a VA with a skill set that matches your business needs.  For instance, if you need someone to do your bookkeeping look for business accounting experience. If you need more marketing help, search for an assistant with a background in sales and/or social media.

WILL A FREELANCE SITE CONNECT ME WITH A MORE QUALIFIED REMOTE ASSISTANT?

Freelance sites have no control over the qualifications of the professionals who bid on projects or job openings. Some verify references. It is still the client’s responsibility to verify the background of a prospective remote assistant.
